Peter "Primrose" Polinsky, 88, of 217 E. Ridge St., Lansford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 30, in Maple Shade Assisted Living, Nesquehoning. He was the husband of Anna (Marenchick) Polinsky. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in May.
He worked for the former Bundy Tubing Plant, Hometown, for 32 years before retiring in 1986.
Born in Minersville, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Stoppi) Polinsky.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Polinsky was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, the American and AMVETS posts and the Italian American Club, all of Lansford.
One of his prize hobbies was being a well-known dart shooter, winning many matches throughout his playing time.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son Robert, and his wife, Karen, of Batavia, Ill.; a daughter Cynthia, wife of John Spinelli of Springfield, Va.; four grandchildren, Katy Polinsky, Kelly Polinsky, Robyn Polinsky and Emily Spinelli; two brothers, George of Minersville and Nick, and his wife, Flo, of Westminster, Md.; two sisters, Helen Kowal and Mary Takerick, both of Minersville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
