Rudolph F. Traupman, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. He was the loving husband of the late Edna C. (Halbreiner) Traupman. They were married for 66 years before her passing in 2012.
He owned and operated J-Rand Personnel, Bethlehem, for 35 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Rudolph R. and Magdaline (Wagner) Traupman.He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre, where he was involved with D-Day and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Dale, and his wife, Georgia, of Lehighton, and Jeffrey, and his wife, Barbara, of Carmel, Ind.; a brother John of Allentown; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem. Entombment, Holy Saviour Mausoleum, Bethlehem. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the church. Contributions in his name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
