Russell C. Fritz
Russell C. Fritz, 73, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 12, in the Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. He was the husband of Donna (Jones) Fritz. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 26.
Prior to retiring, he worked for 36 years for Reagent Chemical, Bound Brook, N.J.
Born in Barnesville, he was a son of the late Charles and A. Grace (Patton) Fritz.
He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rush Township.
Fritz was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
He was an avid car racing fan, especially NASCAR, and always enjoyed riding his 1969 Harley.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two brothers, Kenneth and Curtis, and his wife, Sharon, both of Barnesville; three sisters, Marie, wife of James Bingham of Morganfield, Ky., Doris, wife of Eugene Barna of Grand Forks, N.D., and Viola, wife of Brian Matuskiewicz of Brick, N.J.; his mother-in-law, Gloria C. Jones, and two brothers-in-law; Richard J. Jones and Dana A. Jones, all of Tamaqua; a dear friend, John Shoup of Barnesville; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, with the Rev. Fred Crawford officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday.
