Ruth Lang

Mrs. Ruth Lang, 74, of Tamaqua, was born in Elizabeth, N.J., Nov. 3, 1938, to James and Mae (Laudig) Frederickson. The family lived in Linden, N.J., until she was nine years old and her father was transferred to Framingham, Mass.
She lived in Framingham until she was 28 years old and then began her travels around the U.S. and Germany, until finally settling in Eatontown, N.J.
She attended Stewart School of Business in 1978, graduating second in her class.
After graduation, she went to work for Perkin-Elmer Data Systems Group.Six years later the company spun-off and became Concurrent Computer Corporation. She worked in manufacturing, engineering, marketing and strategic planning during her time with Concurrent.
In 1995, Concurrent moved to the South where labor costs were less. This move resulted in the loss of jobs for approximately 1,000 people. Two months later, Ruth got a job offer from Osteotech, Inc., located in Monmouth County, N.J. She worked for the VP of Clinical Research/Regulatory and, before retiring, worked for the VP of regulatory.
Surviving are a son, Dan Lang, and his wife, Jane, as well as her granddaughter Emily; a brother, David Frederickson, and his wife, Gail; and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Debbie "Jamie" Frederickson; and a brother, James Frederickson.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, with the Rev. Janet Kline officiating. Interment, White Church Cemetery, Rush Twp. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
