Stiney Albert Masaitis

Stiney Albert Masaitis, 95, of Frederick, Md., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick.
He was the husband of the late Kathryn (Yasenchalk) Masai-tis.
Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Frank and Tilly (Yankauskas) Masaitis.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the European, Italian and Pacific theaters.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening, golf and riding in his golf cart watching the horses with his beloved dog, Francis.
Stiney was a football fan, rooting for Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trip to see his family in Lithuania.
Surviving are a daughter Sandra, wife of Timothy Johnson; a sister, Eleanor Baddick; a son-in-law, Terry Wills, and his wife, Christine; a special friend, Jack Esslinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Wills.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St., Frederick, with the Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Interment, St. John Cemetery.
