Thomas Lee Bauer

Thomas Lee Bauer, 57, of West Main Boulevard, Bath, East Allen Township, formerly of Lehighton, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.
He was a security guard for the Black and Decker Corporation, Allentown, and previously had worked in delivery and transport for Guardian Photo, Qualex Co., Catasauqua.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Frances W. (Lahr) Bauer, with whom he resided, and the late Albert J. Bauer Jr.
He was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.
A 1973 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, where he played the trumpet in the school band, he served in the Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Specialist 4.He also played in the Parryville Band and enjoyed music, cars, visiting casinos, hunting and fur trapping.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters, Diane of Bath and Mary, wife of Barry Williams of Lehighton; a nephew, Christopher Derhammer, and his wife, Jerilynn, of Lehighton; a great-nephew Trent; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by two uncles, Charles Lahr and Ben Ledo.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview St., Lehighton, with the Rev. Anthony Pagotto officiating.
