The Rev. Warren F. Shelly, 80, of Quarryville, Pa., formerly of Lehighton, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, Feb. 18.
- Born in Quakertown, he was married to Velma (Stoneback) Shelly for 60 years.
He served as a chaplain in the Army and went on to serve as pastor/shepherd in many churches in Pa. and Michigan. His most recent assignments were at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Lehighton, as well as Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship and Evangel Fellowship Church, both in Allentown.
Best known for his "outgoing personality," he loved people as he loved life! If Warren walked into a room full of strangers, he would get to know someone there before he left. He also touched many lives, encouraging them to serve his Lord and Savior!
Warren was always fond of saying that "to be absent from our bodies, is to be present with our Lord." And so he is!
