Wayne D. Sensinger

Wayne D. Sensinger, 77, of Main Road, Lehighton, died Friday, Jan. 4, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. He was the husband of Anneliese M. (Leyrer) Sensinger.
They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on June 24, 2012.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Walker and Naomi (Clay) Sensinger.He was an Army veteran, having served from 1959-1961 in Germany, where he met his wife.
He later worked as an upholsterer at local furniture factories.
Sensinger loved hunting and fishing and was a lifelong member of Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club.
He was a Penn State and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed being retired.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Darvin D., and his wife, Shari, of Nesquehoning, and Timothy of Palmerton; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Shatzi.
He was also predeceased by a brother, Glenn R.; and two sisters, Dianna Neeb and Delores Joseph.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton, with the Rev. Jane Arrington Bender officiating. Interment, church's Memorial Garden. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Contributions in his name may be made to the church, P.O. Box 147, Lehighton, Pa. 18235. Arrangements by Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport.
