Robert R. Reese

Robert R. Reese, 74, of Lehighton, formerly of the Hauto Estates, Nesquehoning, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, in the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Mary Joan (Kerwin) Reese.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Joseph and Carmella (Dominic) Reese.
He was a 1954 graduate of the Scranton Oral School for the Deaf, and was an avid football player. He then attended and graduated from Mount Airy School for the Deaf of Philadelphia in 1958.
He worked as a printer for the Standard-Speaker, Hazleton.
Reese was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville.
He was a life member of the P.S.A.D. and a member of the Outdoor Sportsman Association.
He was an avid outdoorsman, motorcycle rider and golfer and he enjoyed oil paintings and reading out of his Bible everyday.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. of Lansford and William in Maryland; a daughter, Mary Kelly, wife of Chris Aungst of Lansford; two grandchildren, Alecia Aungst and David Aungst; three great-grandchildren, Mehliyah, Julian and Julianna; a sister Antoinette, wife of James Holmes of Summit Hill; his companion, June Ault of Lehighton; and two nephews, Nicholas Holmes and James Holmes.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Aungst.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
