Mrs. Anna B.M. Transue, 90, of Reuben Circle, Palmerton, Towamensing Township, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, in her home. |
She was a machine operator for Paris Neakwear, Walnutport, until retirng, and previously had worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation.Born in Borcs, Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Imre and Vilma (Buranyi) Margli.
- She was the wife of the late Merlin F. Tran-sue, who passed away in 1999.
She was of the Catholic faith.
The deceased was a member of the Palmerton Hungarian Club.
She was an avid cook and kiffle and nut roll baker.
Surviving are a son, James R., and his companion, Nancy Homyak, with whom she resided; a granddaughter, Mithrys Elizabeth Hosler of East Penn Township; two great-grandchildren, Star E. Angstadt and Thomas J. Hosler; a brother Stephen, and his wife, Sandy, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Sandor, Wilma Weiner and Vilma Margli; and three brothers, Joseph, James and Franklin.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, with Deacon William P. Pitts officiating. Private interment, Bethlehem Memorial Park, Rt. 191.
