Mrs. Betty Marie Pantella, 79, of Jim Thorpe, died Monday, Feb. 3, in the Weatherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly. She was the widow of George Pantella, who died in 1996.
She and her late husband owned and operated A & Z Fencing, Jim Thorpe, for over 30 years.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Folkrode) Blacketter.
She was a graduate of Lehighton High School.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Penn Forest Township, and enjoyed sewing.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet M., wife of Bill Schmitt of Drums; a brother, Charles Jr., and his wife, Janet, of Douglasville; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother James.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, Christ Lutheran Church, 189 Church Rd., Penn Forrest Twp., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, 18229. Arrangements by E.
