Calvin C. Boyer|
Calvin Coolidge Boyer, 89, of York, formerly of Weissport, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, in the Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, York. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Lichty) Boyer.
Prior to retiring, he was a mechanic/maintenance supervisor for the former Nick Petrole Chrysler, Plymouth, DeSoto automobile and International Truck Agency, Lehighton.
Born in Andreas, he was a son of the late William and Lizzie (Longacre) Boyer.
He attended services at Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield.
Boyer loved the out of doors and hunting small and large game. he was a life member of the Nis Hollow Hunting Club, where he faithfully served as the field captain for many years. An avid angler, he enjoyed fishing the Lehigh River with his son Kevin and his brother Miles.
In his spare time, he attended the various Grundsow banquets held in the surrounding area.
Surviving are a son Kevin, and his wife, Julie, of York; a daughter Diane, address unknown; a sister, Marion Weida of Allentown; three grandchildren, Allison, Joshua, Jonathan Boyer; and nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by a sister, Helen Moyer; and a brother Miles.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment, Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Ashfield.
