Carl F. "Chuck" Steinberg Jr., 66, of Forest Inn, Towamensing Township, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, May 17, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.
He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Freese) Steinberg since Nov. 29, 1969.
He was a truck driver for the Venezia Hauling and Transport Company, Nazareth, before retiring in 2008.Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Carl F. Sr. and Lorraine H. (Gaulke) Steinberg.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having served aboard the USS Constellation as an aircraft armament installer. He attained the rank of A03.
The deceased was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington.
He enjoyed creating leaded stained glass windows, spending time with his family and living in the country.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Dale C., at home; four sisters, Janet Tesno of Rosemont, Pat, wife of Willliam Miles of Wynnewood, Sharon Austin of Bethlehem and Susan King of Center Valley; and nieces and nephews.
