 Mrs. Carol D. Behler, 66, of Indian Hill Road, Franklin Township, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was the wife of Douglas M. Behler. - They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Nov. 4.
Born in Rickertsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Hattie M. (Smith) Leyer.She was a 1964 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
She retired from the TIMES NEWS, Lehighton, after over 30 years of service.
She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Franklin Township.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Lori, wife of Lamont LeVan, and a son Ryan, and his wife, Pam, both of Franklin Township; three grandchildren, Kirsten LeVan and Matthew and Luke Behler; two nieces, Tammy, wife of Mike Ewer of Lehighton, and Denise Miller in California; three great-nieces, Saige Miller, Emily Miller and Camille Miller; and a great-nephew, Cedric Miller.
She was also predeceased by a brother Dennis.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Franklin Twp., with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating. Interment will be private. Call 9-11 a.m. Monday in the church.
