Mrs. Charlotte E. Donohue|
Mrs. Charlotte E. Donohue, 100, of West Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Crane's Mill, West Candwell. She was the widow of Joseph Donohue, who died in 1963.
After their marriage in 1942, she and her husband moved to West Caldwell. She worked for Dr. Roberts in Caldwell for 21 years and then for Dr. Petryshyn in Upper Montclair, N.J.
Before relocating, she had worked at Palmerton Hospital for 12 years.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mattie J. (Geggus) Ronemus.
She was a 1930 graduate of Lehighton High School and a 1933 graduate of the Palmerton Hospital Nursing School, and had additional training at the John Hopkins School of Nursing in Baltimore, Md.
Surviving are a son Thomas, and his wife, Adrienne, of Burlington, Vt.; two grandsons, Michael, and his wife, Berne Broudy, of Richmond, Vt., and Christopher of Bloomington, Ind.; and a sister, Martha Ronemus of Lehighton.
She was also predeceased by two sisters, Arlene Ronemus, who died in 1998, and Kathryn S. Zimmerman, who died in 2010.
Service: Interment (for family only) will be on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover, N.J. No calling hours. Arrangements by Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J.
