David J. Strmensky, 38, of Porter Street, Tuscarora, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was an auto body repairman. Born in Pottsville, he was a son of David P. Strmensky of Tamaqua, and the late Linda (Marcovich) Strmensky, who died in 1986. He was a 1993 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, a graduate of Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, and an Army veteran of the Iraq War. Surviving are two sisters, Sonia, wife of David Pucklavage of Tamaqua, and Nissa of Minersville; three nieces; and her maternal grandmother, Leona Marcovich of Tuscarora. Service: Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating. Interment with military honors, St. Jerome Cemetery, Tamaqua. Call 9-10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Memorials in his name will be accepted by the family at 15 Sibilla Way, Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, to help with the burial. Any remaining monetary donations will be sent to Miller Memorial Blood Bank, Allentown.
