Glen A. Thompson Jr., 28, of Lehighton, died unexpectedly Friday, January 17, in his home.
He worked in retail sales for various area businesses.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Glen Thompson Sr. of Bridgewater, N.Y., and Karen Strohl-Alfis, wife of John Alfis of Lehighton.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville.
The deceased was a 2004 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, where he played football. In younger years, he also played football for the Palmerton and Lehighton booster clubs. He also enjoyed playing basketball at the Palmerton Borough Hall and the Lehighton Grove.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandfather, Clyde Strohl of Palmerton; three sisters, Kaylee Frey, at home, and Courtney and Christine Thompson, both of Bridgewater; a niece, Brielle Frey; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
