Glenn A. Shoff, 59, of Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, died Friday, Oct. 12 2012, at home, after a chronic illness.
Glenn was the loving husband of Mary Karen (Wenzel) Shoff. The couple was married for 35 years.
He was the devoted father of two children: a daughter, Lindsay J., wife of David Chiavaroli of Nazareth, PA, and a son, Damian W., of Owl Creek.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Martin and Ruth (Debus) Shoff. He was a 1971 graduate of Southern Lehigh High School.
Prior to his illness, he was a Quality Control Technician for The Hexcel Corporation in Pottsville, PA, for 24 years.
Glenn was a sports fan and volunteered his time as a coach for Tamaqua Youth Soccer, Little League Baseball, and Biddy League Basketball. He was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife and children are three sisters, Naomi Mease of Quakertown, Eleanor, wife of David Snyder of Lady Lake, FL, and Nancy Knowles of Ocala, FL; two brothers, Paul Shoff and his wife, Cindy, Barry Shoff and his wife, Deb, both of Macungie; his mother-in-law: Nellie Wenzel, Tamaqua; brothers-in-law, George Wenzel III, Ray Weierbach; and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille (Shoff) Weierbach, brothers-in-law: Ralph Mease, Lee Wenzel, and father-in-law, George Wenzel Jr., who passed away earlier this year.
Services: Private interment at Ss. Peter and Paul R.C.C. Cemetery, Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa.
