Helen A. Polischak
Helen A. Polischak, 88, formerly of Coaldale, passed away on
Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Palmerton hospital. She was the wife of the late Walter Polischak.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late William and Minnie (Smith) Getz.
She had worked for various local garment factories.
She, along with her husband, owned and operated the former Walt's Bar & Grill in Coaldale.
Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansford.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis Keenly, and his wife Marilyn, of Danielsville, Gene "Skip" Keenly, and his wife Marty, of Summit Hill, and Ronald Polischak, and his wife Susan, of Coaldale; five grandchildren, John Polischak, Steven Polischak, Thomas Polischak, Brian Keenly, and Jennifer Zehner; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Zehner and Mackendra Polischak; two brothers, Halbert Getz, and his wife Beatrice, and William Getz, and his wife Nancy, both of Jim Thorpe; two sisters, Darlene Tessitore, and her husband George, of Nesquehoning, and Dorothy Horn of Georgia.
Services: Will be private at the convenience of the family.
Contributions in her name may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, E. Abbott St., Lansford, PA 18232. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill. Online condolences may be signed at www.parambofh.com
