Herbert L. Eisley|
Herbert L. "Pappie" Eisley, 73, of Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, died Monday, Oct. 7, at his residence. He was the husband of Nancy (Yeager) Eisley, to whom he would have been married for 51 years on Oct. 13.
He last worked as a welder at Dana Corporation, Reading.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.A graduate of Tamaqua High School, he was a member of the West Penn Fire Company and was a avid hunter and sportsman.
- Born in Coaldale he was a son of the late Harry and Helen (Einhouse) Eisley.
Surviving with his wife are a son Herbert L. Eisley Jr., of Quakake; a daughter, Janet Eisley Sillers, Tamaqua; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; brothers, William Eisley, and his wife, Ann Marie, Culpeper, Va., and Harry Eisley, and his wife, Gail, Hometown; and many nieces and nephews.
Service: Graveside service on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, with Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating. The Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of arrangements. Online guest registry: www.zrgfuneralhomes.com.
