Obituary Condolences

James J. Flaim, 84, of Delano, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 11, in the Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville. He was the husband of the late Florence (Turo) Flaim, who died July 9, 2010.
Born in Buck Mountain, he was a son of the late Giacomo Vittorio and Anna (Preti) Flaim.
He was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Quakake American Legion, Delano Fire Co., Men of Marian and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 214.
Surviving are a daughter Deborah, wife of Mike Lahey of Scranton; three sons, James of Delano, Richard of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Christopher of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Lena Mogish of Delano and Elizabeth Gnall of Buck Mountain; three brothers, Louis of Mahanoy City, John of Somerville, N.J., and Frank of Mahanoy City; a granddaughter, Jenn Lahey of Scranton; and three grandsons, James Flaim of Delano, Andrew Flaim of Red Lion and Jason Flaim of Jim Thorpe.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Victor; three sisters, Christina Shaup, Valentine "Dolly" Mogish and Anna Pedriani; and an infant son James.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
