Joshua L.M. Vacaro|
Joshua L.M. Vacaro, 32, of western Pennsylvania, formerly of Slatington and Easton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, from injuries he sustained in an accident.
Born in Wilson Borough on March 18, 1981, he was a son of April L. (Stem) Vacaro McMurray of Palmerton and John J. Vacaro, Jr. of Nazareth.
He was a member of the high school's varsity basketball and track and field teams. Joshua later attended Westmoreland Community College. He worked in the construction industry as a carpenter and was employed by John Cooke Construction Co., Connellsville. Previously, he was employed by U.S. Foods, Allentown.
- Joshua was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School class of 2000.
Joshua loved writing and drawing.
He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his loving mother, April, and his father, John and his wife, Louise, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Voss) Stem of Forks Township; his desired companion, Tia Quilan and her children, Brandon and Madison; his brother, John J. Vacaro, III of Nazareth; his sister, Amber M. Schoenberger and her husband, Jeremy of Salt Lake City, Utah; nieces, Abigail and Leah; nephews, Logan and Devin; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father, James R. McMurray in 2010.
Services: will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hope Church at Carpenter's, 4065 Newburg Road, Nazareth, PA 18064. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in the Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Moorestown - Bath.
