Justin King Obituary
Justin David King, 28, of Coaldale, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 16, in Lancaster.
He was a physical therapy assistant, where he touched the lives of so many he helped. He was last employed at the Lancaster Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of David and Chrissy (Linkhorst) King of Coaldale.
He was a 2007 graduate of Panther Valley High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Harmony Scholars, and was also recognized for his athletic ability, earning 1st team All State honors in baseball and
All-County honors in football.
He went on to further his education at Bloomsburg University and Lehigh-Carbon Community College, graduating in 2015.
Justin was a member of St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale.
He was an avid New York Yankee and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved playing the guitar and enjoyed going to the gym.
Surviving in addition to his parents are: a sister, Jennifer Overton of Hazleton; a brother, Zackary King, USAF, stationed at Joint Base, Charleston, S.C.; maternal grandparents, Charles and Jean Linkhorst of Lake Hauto; paternal grandmother, Nancy King of Coaldale; a godson and his best friend, Jackson Overton; several aunts and uncles; and loving pets, Addie, Tillie and Lilly.
He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nicholas King.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, 217 First St., Coaldale, with the Very Rev. James Weremedic officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 9-11 a.m. Monday in the church. Contributions in his name may be made to his godson Jackson's Educational Fund, c/o Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, PA 18232. I Thank Justin for being a part of my life. I am PROUD to be able to say that I was a part of his as well. Watching him grow up through the years in the sports he loved to play, he always seemed so determined to do the very best he could. It was a gift to me when I helped coach him and watch his potential bloom.
