Kathryn M. Boyle Obituary
Mrs. Kathryn M. Boyle, 64, of Arlington Street, Tamaqua, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, in Allentown. She was the wife of George V. Boyle Jr.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of Michael A. Semko of Tamaqua and the late Anna S. (Sherry) Semko.
She was a 1965 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
To her children, she was a superwoman. There is nothing she couldn't fix and no situation she couldn't handle. She knew everything. She was a jack of all trades, their "Domestic Engineer" and she will be forever missed. Kathryn was a proud mother of eight who was very dedicated to her husband and children. Her kindness and compassion were moving. She did so much and never asked for anything; she was selfless. She was the strongest of the strong.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father are five sons, George V. III, and his wife, Annette, and Damian M., and his fiancée, Angela Kupres, both of Tamaqua, Michael J., and his wife, Heather, and John Paul, and his wife, Vanessa, both of Brockton, and Vincent A., and his companion, Jarrod Yuskauskas, of Bethlehem; three daughters, Theresa A., wife of Thomas Ackerman of New Ringgold, and Kathryn E. Barron, and her fiancé Christopher Orlick, and Susan M., and her fiancé, Kevin Kupres, both of Tamaqua; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Stefanie, Keith, Cole, Anastasia, Tyler, Morgan, Nathan, Sophia, Brianna, Daylon, Carson and Brody; and four sisters, Sherry, wife of Theodore Sneddon of Livermore, Calif., Geralyn, wife of Leon Truskey of Denver, Pa., Georgine, wife of Patrick Bowe of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and and Mary Ellen, wife of Linwood Koch of Tamaqua.
She was also preceded in death by a twin brother Michael, who died at birth.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial was held this morning in St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua, with the Rev. John Frink officiating, followed by interment in the parish cemetery, Tamaqua. The Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad, Tamaqua, was in charge of the arrangements. An online guestbook can be signed at www.zrgfuneralhomes.com.
