Leroy Snyder Jr., 77, of 112 Ashley Lane, Lehighton, passed away Sept. 27, 2013, at The Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Shirley Wolfe Snyder. They were married Jan. 11, 1969.
Born in Mauch Chunk, Pa., he was a son of the late Leroy and Myrtle I. Miller Snyder Sr.
He served our country with the US Air Force during the Korean War attaining the rank of A/1c (T).
Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the heavy highway construction business.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Packerton.
In his spare time he loved to fish and hunt with his friends and family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Thelma White, and Delores, wife of Lamont Ockenhouse of Lehighton; a brother, Robert W. Snyder Sr. and his wife, Narah, of Mahoning Valley and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Claude, and three sisters, Irene Stack, Rhoda Eileen Snyder and an infant baby girl Snyder. Services: Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
