Mrs. Linda Lou Muffley|
Mrs. Linda Lou Muffley, 54, of 227 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 9, in her residence. She was the wife of Clarence Q. "Mike" Muffley. They were married for 36 years on June 25, 2013.
She previously had worked for Laneco, Lehighton, in the customer service department and was also an insurance agent for the Peoples Security Life Insurance Company.Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of Henry J. Sr. and Shirley E. (Higgins) Long of Lehighton.
- She was employed by the TIMES NEWS, Lehighton, as an advertising agent.
She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, N. Weissport, where she sang in the choir and served on the council and cemetery board.
Linda volunteered for the Miller Blood Bank, where she assisted with fundraisers for her two nephews, Dylan and Gavin Krum.
She was a member of Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club and the Harley Owners Group (HOG), Parryville Chapter, and was actively involved with her family in the Zion Opera Workshop.
She loved spending time with her loving family, cooking, baking, playing the piano, touring the country with her husband on their Harley Davidsons, and walking her four pet dachshunds.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mindy, wife of Nathaniel Tkach of Lehighton, and Marcey, wife of Andrew Goodbred of Palmerton; a son Michael, and his wife, Alissa, and a sister Lora, wife of David Krum, both of Lehighton; three brothers, Henry J. Jr., and his wife, Sally, Eric "Rick," and his wife, Linda, and Kevin, and his wife, Carolyn, of Lehighton; three grandchildren, Wesley and Charlotte Tkach and Sean Goodbred; and nieces and nephews.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 222 Church St., N. Weissport, with the Rev. Nancy L. Moore officiating. Interment, Lehighton Cemetery.
