Mrs. Lois E. Fels|
Mrs. Lois E. Fels, 82, of Pottsville, died Monday night, Jan. 13, in the Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville.
She was the widow of Theodore A. Fels, who died Oct. 29, 1995. They were married on March 15, 1952.
She was a 1949 graduate of the former Lansford High School.Mrs. Fels was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, where she was a member of the Freda Hoh Circle. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lodge 123, Lansford; a volunteer for Luther Ridge, Pottsville; and a member of the Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens, T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and the American Legion Post 123, Lansford.
- Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Verna V. (Meyers) Stewart.
Surviving are a son, Mark T., and his wife, Melanie, and a daughter, Sandra L., wife of Thomas McMurtrie, both of Pottsville; four grandchildren, Thomas McMurtrie, and his wife, Nicole, Luke McMurtrie, Bruce McMurtrie and Michelle, wife of Dave Walasavage; five great-grandchildren, Jack, Ty and Bo McMurtrie and Derek and Leah Walasavage; a brother, Robert M., and his wife, Barbera, of Long Island, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son Bruce; and a granddaughter, Melinda Riccio.
