Michael Sachon

Michael Sachon Michael Sachon, 87, of West Howard Avenue, Coaldale, died Sunday, May 17, in his home. He was the husband of Eleanor (Rabbas) Sachon. They were married for 63 years.He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight before retiring in 1974.Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Alexander and Justina (Bischak) Sachon.A 1940 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.Sachon was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua; the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club; N.R.A.; Berwick Boat Club; and the Lehigh Fish and Game Association. Surviving in addition to his widow are three sisters, Olga Tomasovich of Coaldale, Marge Koch of Wilmington, Del., and Dorothy Cheslak of Philadelphia; a grandchild, Shawn Sachon, and his wife, Donna, in South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Jared and Katrina Sachon; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sachon Neuroth of New Ringgold; and nieces and nephews.He was also preceded in death by a son, the Rev.
