Michael Zembo, 86, of Wall, N.J., formerly of Linden, N.J., and Pottsville, died Sunday, Oct. 7, in Wall. He was the husband of the late Vivian (Smarr) Zembo.|
He was a repairman and parts manager for General Motors, Linden, N.J., and was also a part-time barber in Linden.
Born in Branchdale, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Dominick) Zembo.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Zembo was of the Catholic faith.
He was a former member of the Seniors Club, Linden.
Surviving are a daughter Rose, wife of Paul Marschalk of Sea Girt, N.J.; two sons, Michael, and his wife, Linda, of Nazareth, and Thomas T. of Easton; four grandchildren, Susan, Kevin, Jason and Melissa; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Michael, Grace and David; and two half-brothers, George Homolo, and his wife, Anita, of Hamburg, and Steve Homolo of Frackville.
He was also preceded in death by a brother John; and a sister, Mary Korkie.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
