Ralph A. Wentz, 83, of Parryville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 9, in Franklin Township. He was the husband of Marjorie (Allen) Wentz. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary last October.
He spent his career as a road construction worker for Riebe Construction, Palmerton, and Slusser Bros. Construction, Hazleton.
Born in Parryville, he was a son of the late Chester A. and Alma O. (Souders) Wentz.
He was a member of Parryville United Methodist Church, the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club and the Parryville Fire Co.
He loved to hunt and spend time in the outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Beverly, wife of Edwin Zipp, and two sons, John, and his wife, Connie, and Roger, and his wife Connie, all of Lehighton; a sister Patricia, wife of Earl Beil of Davenport, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Clair and Donald; and two sisters, Fern Cinamella and Irene Fedor.
