Obituary Condolences

Richard H. "Moxie" Moyer Jr., 56, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14, in the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital, New York City, N.Y.
He was a truck driver for New England Motor Freight, Mahoning Township, for many years until retiring in 2009.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of Emma L. (Shupp) Moyer of Parryville and the late Richard H. Moyer Sr.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Moyer was a member of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club and a founding charter member of the Master Breeders Pigeon Club, Palmerton.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Amanda R., wife of Michael V. Kattner of Lehighton; two sons, Aaron R., and his wife, Miranda, of Lehighton, and Adam R., and his wife, Erica, in Kentucky; two sisters, Brenda Kuntz of Palmerton and Stacey George of Kunkletown; a brother Jeffrey of Palmerton; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie, Judy and Pennylou; and a grandson Joshua.
Service: Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview St., Lehighton. Interment 10 a.m. Friday, Parryville Cemetery. Call 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
