Stephen E. Vilcheck|
Stephen E. Vilcheck, 74, of Greenwood Street, Coaldale, died Thursday, Nov. 21, in his home, while in the care of his wife of 44 years, Claire M. (Moyer) Vilcheck.
He retired from Elk Lighting.
Born in Tuscarora, he was a son of the late Luke and Matilda (Dobrovosky) Vilcheck.
He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua, where he was an usher.
He enjoyed collecting sports cards.
Surviving are three brothers, Francis, and his wife, Margaret, of Middleport, Joseph of Tuscarora and Vincent, and his wife, Beverly, of Summit Hill; and nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Yakub, Julia Vlcek, Agnes Spezialetti and Kathryn Britrich; and two brothers, John and Paul Vilcheck.
Service: Private arrangements were handled by the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Interment, St. Jerome Cemetery, Tamaqua.
