Mrs. Rose Bridygham

Mrs. Rose Bridygham, 87, a lifetime resident of Reynolds, Walker Township, died Tuesday, March 25, in the Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville. She was the wife of Earl Bridygham Jr. They were married for 43 years.
She had worked for the former Atlas Powder Co., Reynolds, for 45 years as a wire setter.
Born in Reynolds, she was a daughter of the late Pietro and Mary (Mariello) Assalita.
She was a 1942 graduate of Tamaqua High School and a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
She was known for her great sense of humor and her meatballs and spaghetti.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a sister, Millie Swartley of Tamaqua; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Burns and Lucy Shalanta; and five brothers, Blase, Edward, John, Nello and Carlo.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, St. Jerome Catholic Church, 266 West Broad Street Tamaqua. Interment, parish cemetery, Tamaqua. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
