Christopher A. (Berger) Solarczyk, 31, of Palmerton, died Monday, May 12, in his home in Palmerton.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. today in the Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, with the Rev. Paul L. Schoffstall officiating.
Born at Luke Air Force Base, Glendale, Ariz., he moved to Pa. with his mother and attended Palmerton Area High School and graduated in 2001 from the Carbon County Area Vocational Technical School.
Chris was a caring and loving young man. He was a devoted husband, a loving son and a brother who was looked up to. He loved jokes and making his family and friends laugh.Chris had a heart for people and was caring and compassionate. He gave much and laughed often. He will be forever missed by all who had the fortune to know him.
- He married Christine J. (Holl-and) Solarc-zyk at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on May 3, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Christine J. (Holland) Solarczyk; his mother, Jean (Schlosser) Solarczyk of Palmerton; his biological father, Thomas C. Berger, and stepmother, Gail D. Baker, of Rocklin, Calif.; his adoptive father, Joseph G. Solarczyk of Tamaqua; three brothers, Joshua M. Solarczyk of Palmerton, Aaron M. Berger and Jacob T. Berger of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepbrother and sister, Bruce Aaron Baker of San Francisco, Calif., and Lauren E. Baker of Rocklin, Calif.; his grandparents, Donald and Dorothy Berger of Palmerton; his grandmother, Mary Solarczyk of Lansford; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
