Manuel M. "Manny" Muniz, 84, of Palmerton, died Wednesday, June 11, in his home.
He was an iron worker for Lehigh Structural Steel, Allentown, for 32 years, and then worked for Reckitt and Coleman, Lehigh Valley, for five years before retiring.Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Constantino "Connie" and Emily (Lucero) Muniz.
- He was the husband of Pat (Lykens) Muniz. They were married for 60 years.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the undefeated 1948 Blue Bombers' basketball team.
He was passionate about his hometown Palmerton and its history.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Kim, wife of Alex Millar in Australia, and Tracy, wife of Scott Smith of Palmerton; three grandchildren, Amy, Johnny and Zach; a great-granddaughter, Payeton; a brother Ray of Orefield; and two sisters, Dolores Rabenold of Palmerton and Rosalie Breslen of Shamokin.
He was also predeceased by three brothers, Connie, Richard and Lawrence.
