William L. Frantz|
William L. Frantz, 86, formerly of West Penn Township, passed away on Monday, June 16, in Maple Shade Meadows Assisted Living, Nesquehoning. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Reigel) Frantz. They were married for 65 years.
He worked for the former Atlas Powder Company, Reynolds, as a scientist in Research and Development and as a demolitions expert.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Leon W. and Sara R. (Gover) Frantz.
He was a graduate of the former Summit Hill High School.
Frantz was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 316 and the United Methodist Church, both of Summit Hill.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Lee T. of Wilkes-Barre; two daughters, Carol A. Frantz, and her husband, Jim, in Idaho, and Beth A. Frantz, and her husband, Glen, of Slatington; two brothers, George T., and his wife, Rose, of Andreas, and Richard of Laurys Station; three grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Service: Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, United Methodist Church, Summit Hill, with the Rev. Elisandra Garcia officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
