Vincent Russo, 79, of Franklin Township, passed into eternal rest on Friday, July 18, in his residence. He was the husband of Agnes A. (Walck) Kunkle Russo. They were married for seven years last September 30.
He was formerly married to the late Bina Spinelli.
Prior to retiring, he was a self-employed tailor and a dry cleaning specialist for over 30 years in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Born in Bisignano, Italy, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Groccia) Russo.
He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, and was a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus Color Corps, St. Bernadette Council, Assembly 981, 4th degree.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling the world with his loving wife, Agnes, tailoring and tending to his garden.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a brother Angelo of Brooklyn; a stepdaughter Hope, wife of David Ewert, of Cowlesville, N.Y.; two stepsons, Greg Kunkle, and his wife, Shirley, of Mahoning Valley, and Wade Kunkle, and his wife, Alice, of Laureldale; two nieces, Rose and Allison; five nephews, Frank, Anthony, Jerry, Chris and Frank; and four stepgrandsons.
He was also predeceased by a sister, Jennie Calabria; and two brothers, Pasquale and Alfonso.
Service: Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, with the Rev. Michael E. Ahrensfield officiating. Interment, parish cemetery, Lehighton. Call 6:15-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
