Stephen Kusko Jr|
Stephen"Chippy" Kusko Jr., 68, of 444 W. White St., Summit Hill, passed away on July 24, 2014 at the Geno Merli Veteran Center in Scranton.
He was the husband of Barbara (Macaluso) Kusko of Summit Hill.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Stephen and Margaret (Hughes) Kusko.
He last worked for the Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company, specializing as a heavy equipment operator & truck driver.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, having been the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
Chippy was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Summit Hill.
Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Ranee Krempasky of Summit Hill; a step-daughter, Vicky Moravek and her husband, Joseph, of Lansford; four step-sons, James Zuzu of Nesquehoning, David Zuzu of Arizona, Robert Zuzu of Florida, and Michael Macaluso of Summit Hill; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Service: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, White Bear, Summit Hill. Calling hours are on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Contributions in his name may be made to the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill.
