Mrs. Marian Rutch, 74, of Ludlow Street, Summit Hill, died Saturday, Aug. 9, in Lehighton. She was the widow of Patrick J. Rutch.
She had been one of the original 911 dispatchers hired in Lansford.
Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Florence (Kindervater) Vasiliou.
She was the president and valedictorian of the Class of 1958 of the former Summit Hill, and had coordinated all of its "gatherings." She had friends all over the world, as she ran and hosted online video, chat and music rooms.
Surviving are three daughters, Lisa, wife of Bill Beach of Spencer, N.Y., Sylvia, wife of Mike Goral of Palmerton, and Chrissy, wife of Mike Mayernik Lehighton; six grandchildren, Kelly Blackwell, and wife, Tara Lakatos, Kyle Beach, and wife, Amanda, Emilee Beach, Billy Beach, Michael Patrick Mayernik and Kyle Mayernik; and four great-grandchildren, Devin, Xavier, Tayah and Owen Beach of New York.
She was also preceded in death by two sons Patrick "Packy" and Baby John; and a brother Tony.
Service: Memorial service 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill. Interment at convenience of family. Call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday.
