Brian C. Bittner
Brian C. Bittner, 38, of Tuscarora, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, from injuries he sustained due to a motorcycle accident on Route 309 in Rush Township.
He last worked as superintendent of mines for Lehigh Anthracite, Tamaqua.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Barry E. Sr. and Susan (Hadesty) Bittner of Rush Township.
A 1995 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, he served in the Air Force as a maintenance technician and crew chief during Operation Desert Shield, having been deployed to Kuwait.
A talented musician, he played in many local bands, and also would D.J. under the moniker Liquid Courage.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Koreena M. of Tamaqua; a son, Flynn E. of Tuscarora; and a brother, Barry E. Jr., and his wife, Michele, and their children, Brianna and Cailee, of Tamaqua.
