Obituary Condolences

Mrs. Ethel Pester, 94, of Quakake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 7, in the Hometown Nursing Home, Hometown. She was the widow of James E. Pester, who died in 1970.
Born in Delano, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Folweiler) Dietz.
Surviving are a son, James E. Jr., and his wife Georgette; a daughter, Cheryl Eroh; three sisters, Joan Marinchak, Violet Kahley and Shirley Herring; grandchildren, Natalie Pester Wagner and her husband, Dave, Michele Pester Tirpak, Lisa Pester Avenoso and her husband, Mike, James Nick Pester, Colette Nicole Pester, Paul Eroh Jr., and his wife, Patricia, Denise Eroh Hetsko, and her husband, Gary, Christine Eroh Colon, and her husband, Ernesto, and Jennifer Eroh Fisher, and her husband, Kenneth; 16 great grandchildren and a great-great-grandson Daunte.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Lucas and Laura Hartzel; three brothers, Russell, Robert and Raymond; and a son-in-law, Paul Eroh Sr.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown. Interment, German Protestant Cemetery, Mahanoy City. Call 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
