Shirley A. Perry Obituary
Mrs. Shirley A. Perry, 77, of Jay Street, Whitehall, died Wednesday, June 27, in the Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.
She was the widow of Eugene H. Perry, who died June 8, 2012.
She was a retired registered nurse and had worked for over 30 years for the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill.Born and raised in Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Della (Acker) Davis.
She was a graduate of the former Mauch Chunk High School and had received a bachelor's degree in nursing from East Stroudsburg University.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt.
She was also a member of the Retired Nurses of St. Luke's and the Whitehall AARP.
Surviving are a son Jason, and his wife, Susan, of East Stroudsburg; a daughter Heather, wife of Donald Kern of Schnecksville; a grandson, Collin Perry; two granddaughters, Jillian, wife of Dale Wagner Jr. of Allentown, and Jenna Kern of Breinigsville; and a great-grandson, Tyler Wagner.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. James Schlegel officiating. Interment, Packerton Cemetery. Call 9-11 a.m. Monday. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, 4331 Main St., Whitehall, Pa. 18052.
