Obituary Condolences

Mrs. Ann R. Rehrig, 94, of the Summit at Blue Mountain, Gnaden Huetten Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, died Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was the widow of Clair F. Rehrig, who died June 4, 1995.
She retired from the former Scotty's Fashions, Lehighton, where she was a sewing machine operator. She also had worked for the former Niehoff Flower Shop, Lehighton.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late George and Georgine (Fritz) Gruver.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lehighton, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was involved with Girl Scouts and had served as a leader. She was also an amateur botanist.
Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie A. Kunkle of Center Valley; a sister Ethel, wife of Francis Furry of Cross Plains, Wis.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by a son Kenneth; and three brothers, George, Kenneth and Arthur.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, Grace Lutheran Church, Lehighton, with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment, Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, Fourth and Mahoning streets, Lehighton, Pa. 18235. Arrangements by Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport.
