Obituary Condolences

Marian A. (Kunkle) Scitney, 86, of Sand Quarry Road, Ashfield, East Penn Township, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, at the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Cener, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Stephen Scitney, who passed in 2000.
Born in Weissport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Hinger) Kunkle.
Marian worked as a sewing maching operator for the former Bishop's Garment Company, Weissport, for over 22 years, retiring in 1981, and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
Marian's greatest love was caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Christine L. Bowman, wife of Raymond Pillonato of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren, Angela, wife of Daniel Staehle, Stephen and wife Lori Bowman, all of Ashfield; three great grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsey, and Michael; and brother Donald and wife Judy Kunkle of Lehighton.
She was predeceased by a great grandson, Evan.
Services: Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dinkey Evangelical Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 250, 1742 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, with Rev. Anthony Pagotto officiating. Call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday in church.
