Luther B. "Hoppy" Frey, 87, of West Bowmans, died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, among his family.

He worked as a mechanic and was the co-owner for many years of his family's business, the former Wilk's Garage in West Bowmans, until retiring in 1987.
Born in West Bowmans, he was a son of the late Owen and Florence (Bowman) Frey.
He was an Air Force veteran of World war II, having attained the rank of corporal.
Frey loved to hunt, and taxidermy was his biggest hobby. He was also an aircraft enthusiast.
Surviving are a sister Darthy, wife of Mark Lorah of Bethlehem; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Marguerite Wilk, Geraldine Bowman and Ruth Snyder; and three brothers, Wayne, Marlin and Horace.
