Devin L. Gombert, 9, of 306-½ N. First St., Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, Jan. 27, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of Brian L. Gombert of Lehighton and Candice Boyer.
He was a student at the Mahoning Valley Elementary School and a member of St. John Lutheran Church of the heights section of Jim Thorpe.In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling and playing video games. He was actively involved with many area civic activities.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his paternal grandmother, Dorette Gombert, and her companion, Robert Lutz, of Lehighton; maternal grandparents, William and Joanne Horning of Minersville; a stepsister, Kasandra Jones of Tamaqua; a stepbrother, Dakota Boyer of Minersville; several aunts and uncles, and many cousins and friends.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lehighton, with the Rev. Kim Leskowich officiating. Interment private. Call 9-11 a.m. Friday in the church. Contributions may be made to the Devin L. Gombert Burial Trust, c/o Jim Thorpe National Bank, 145 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, Pa. 18235. Arrangements by Andrew P.
