Michael "Jacko" Hallahan, 93, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Feb. 18, in Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning.

Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Jupin) Hallahan.
He lived in Chicago, Ill., for many years and was employed as an engineer construction manager designing roadways in the Chicago area until retiring.
After retiring, he returned to Nesquehoning.
Hallahan was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as a staff sergeant in the European African Middle Eastern Theatre of Operations. He was a recipient of a Bronze Star for his heroic achievements in Italy in October, 1944.
He was a member of St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning.
Surviving are three nieces, Linda, wife of John Roscoe of Lancaster, Ilona, wife of John Zubek of Nesquehoning, and Andrea, wife of Kevin McManus of Collegeville; a nephew, James Biduck, and Mary Ann Davis of Nesquehoning; three great-nieces, Meredith McManus, Lindsey McManus and Tanya Hood; and a great-nephew, Andrew Thear.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, George, Stephen and John; and four sisters, Ann, Justine, Mary and Ella.
Service: Divine Liturgy 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Robert J. Teklinski officiating. Military graveside service, parish cemetery, Nesquehoning, under direction of Panther Valley High School JROTC and the Nesquehoning UVO. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
