Obituary Condolences

Edward Binder of Jim Thorpe passed away Thursday, March 21, in the Hometown Nursing Center, Hometown. He was the husband of the late Marie Binder and the companion of the late Marie Giovannini.
He was a foreman for Bethlehem Steel Corporation before retiring in 1991.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son to the late John and Elsie (Wetzel) Binder.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Binder was volunteer for Lutheran Home Care for many years and was a member of the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club.
He was an Army veteran.
Surviving are a son, Edward R. Jr. of Palmerton; four daughters, Evelyn, wife of Darryl Angstead, and Tina Giovannini, both of Jim Thorpe, Linda, wife of Joel Keiser of Lehighton, and Laura, wife of William Nicewater of Myerstown, Pa.; two stepchildren, William Rehrig and Jaime Phelan; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
