Victor R. Geiger, 75, of Lehighton, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Frey) Geiger. The couple celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary last April 15th.

Born in Schnecksville, Dec. 11, 1937, Victor was the son of the late Victor C. and Lillie G. (Koehler) Geiger, and the stepson of Marion E. (Mack) Geiger.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during a peacetime era. Victor was a Professional Land Surveyor trading as Victor R. Geiger Surveyor, in Lehighton, for 40 years before retiring in 2008.
He was a life member of the PA Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the North East Chapter of Professional Land Surveyors.
Victor also was a life member of the Pocono Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club where he taught safety courses.
He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Patricia; son, Scott A. Geiger, and his wife, Gail, of New York; step son, Col. William K. Oswald, Ph.D., and his wife, Kathy, of Virginia; stepdaughter, Donna M. White, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Texas; siblings, Ernest V. Geiger of Schnecksville, Anna M. Breininger of Orefield, Grace L. Sell of Schnecksville, Diane M. Scherer of Slatington, Joyce A. Burda of Whitehall; eight grandchildren;.
He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert P. Geiger.
Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in the Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dennis W. Moore officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 8:30-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, in the church narthex. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
