Donald F. Mann Sr., of Jim Thorpe, passed away Sunday, April 28, in Mahoning Valley Nursing Home, Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Irene (Gallagher) Mann, who passed away October 31, 2010.

Born May 16, 1927, in Mauch Chunk, he was a son to the late George and Helen (Grover) Mann.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for many years with the Jersey Central Railroad as a Towerman before retiring.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe and a member of Shoemaker, Haydt Lehighton American Legion Post 314.
He is survived by a son, Donald F. Jr., of Lehighton; daughters Kathy Skelly, and her husband Thomas, of Jim Thorpe. Colleen Giglotti, and her husband Vincent, of Lehighton. Mary Popek, and her husband Timothy, of Jim Thorpe; six grandchildren Thomas, Jennifer, Vincent, Angela, Stephanie, and Danielle; eight great-grandchildren Bailey, Brandon, Brady, Kailyn, Chloe, Evan, Natalia, and Michael.
He was predeceased by a sister Patricia Mann; and two brothers George and Kenneth.
Service: A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday May 3, 2013, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Jim Thorpe, at 10 a.m. Calling hours are private. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 180 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.
